http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59737 Michel BERNERT <michel.bernert@gmail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |michel.bernert@gmail.com --- Comment #2 from Michel BERNERT <michel.bernert@gmail.com> --- I can also observe malformed messages with a fr_FR.UTF-8 locale. This probably affects all non-EN locales. Same as original report, imm32!ImeToAsciiEx sends message with "lParam = vsc", which is incorrect (see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/inputdev/wm-keydown). The more correct messages should be "lParam = (vsc << 16) | 1", as proposed in the original report. The bug is in two locations: the "status == STATUS_NOT_IMPLEMENTED" case and the "!key_consumed" case. Even without tracing the origin of "vsc", the lines are demonstrably incorrect by themselves since you cannot both check "vsc & KF_UP" (low word check) and then fill ".lParam = vsc". Please note that this fully breaks applications that use lParam, so this is in no way a minor bug. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
