I can check what the installer is writing in the registry on windows if that will help.
Thanks for help. I have access to Windows side registry also for diff. One would think installer might warn about version before reporting success but maybe that's just my opinion. NSIS seems a bit overkill about checking for versions but still working to resolve whatever discrepancy its missing.
