I retested this in PowerPoint from Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016,
version 16.0.4266.1001, and was able to reproduce this bug:

Interestingly, setting `riched20` to native in `winecfg` did not resolve the
issue, but running `winetricks -q riched20` did.
