Agreed.

FSF/GNU Emacs teams consider Windows fonts a corruption worthy of warning so
best to support most basic functionality without such dependencies:
- https://directory.fsf.org/wiki/Wine

It seems likely this bug is a duplicate of some earlier fonts bug but so I'll
mark it if/when found.
