The title of the bug report is misleading. Solidworks implies the Solidworks 3D CAD. eDrawings, for which the bug was filed, comes with the Solidworks Suite, but is a standalone program. The bug reported is caused by a missing DLL. Therefore this is not so much a Wine issue, but more a task for Winetricks maintainers. The missing DLL is 'PresentationFramework.Aero2' It can be obtained from this nuget package: https://www.nuget.org/packages/PresentationFramework.Aero2/ The DLL needs to be copied there: -> %WinDir%/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v4.0.30319/WPF/ -> %WinDir%/Microsoft.NET/assembly/GAC_MSIL/PresentationFramework.Aero2/v4.0_4.0.0.0__31bf3856ad364e35 A working eDrawings 2025 installation with all pre-requisites used is illustrated here: https://youtu.be/Et0JJFvwkcI It should be fairly straightforward to replicate this with Wine & Winetricks. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
