terminal output (Incoming demo version)

The regression was introduced by commit:
7df175a66faef1804ee84e278feecbd69a30cf37
ddraw: Pass the active device to material_activate.

Reverting this commit on current Wine 11.16 fixes the crash completely.

The issue is reproducible with the original demo version and the Steam and
GOG.versions as well.
