[Bug 60010] New: Autodesk Fusion: 3D canvas renders black on Wine 11.11 and above (likely a win32u client-surface regression)
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60010 Bug ID: 60010 Summary: Autodesk Fusion: 3D canvas renders black on Wine 11.11 and above (likely a win32u client-surface regression) Product: Wine Version: 11.11 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: win32u Assignee: wine-bugs@list.winehq.org Reporter: Urias.Uhle@web.de Target Milestone: --- Distribution: --- Created attachment 81423 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=81423 Screenhot of Autodesk Fusion Autodesk Fusion was installed on Linux via the installer at https://codeberg.org/Lolig4/Autodesk-Fusion-360-on-Linux. Starting with Wine 11.11 and up to the latest release 11.13, Fusion's 3D viewport (child window MW2_0_centralWindow, rendered through DXVK→Vulkan) stays black while the Qt UI still draws. Wine 11.10 is the last version where the canvas renders correctly. The cause isn't fully confirmed, but it appears to be a regression in the win32u client-surface handling (possibly related to commits 82701d3e, 3b607e59, e4f39eab), where a child window's Vulkan surface may no longer be presented correctly via XComposite. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Install it properly, not with a script, on vanilla Wine.
Thanks for the feedback. Just so it's clear, I'm the developer of that script, so I know exactly what it does: it doesn't patch or modify Wine at all. It's essentially a winetricks-based installer that sets up a Wine prefix and installs the components Fusion needs (via winetricks) so the installer runs and the app starts. Without it, Fusion won't even install or launch on Wine, which is why there's no realistic "install it manually on vanilla Wine" path here. The Wine binary itself stays unmodified upstream. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

The 3D canvas stays black because rsaenh derives a wrong private exponent for RSA keys with public exponent 1, which Fusion imports.
