Install it properly, not with a script, on vanilla Wine.
Thanks for the feedback. Just so it's clear, I'm the developer of that script, so I know exactly what it does: it doesn't patch or modify Wine at all. It's essentially a winetricks-based installer that sets up a Wine prefix and installs the components Fusion needs (via winetricks) so the installer runs and the app starts. Without it, Fusion won't even install or launch on Wine, which is why there's no realistic "install it manually on vanilla Wine" path here.
