[Bug 60440] New: Add option to pull DPI from XSETTINGS
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60440 Bug ID: 60440 Summary: Add option to pull DPI from XSETTINGS Product: Wine Version: 11.19 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: winex11.drv Assignee: wine-bugs@list.winehq.org Reporter: criteria32@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Distribution: --- Currently, Wine will default to 96 DPI (1x scale) for a wineprefix, but this is suboptimal for environments that need a 2x scale for example. Winecfg allows manually changing DPI, but this can be tedious for lots of wineprefixes. X11 has a mechanism that many clients use for determining DPI: the Xft/DPI setting in the XSETTINGS protocol (https://specifications.freedesktop.org/xsettings/latest/, https://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Specifications/XSettingsRegistry/). I think winecfg should provide an option to track the X11 DPI using this, so that users don't have to. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
