Might be the case here. Game unfreezes/updates during window actions (for Debian 13) triggered by windows key, Alt+Tab, or PrintScreen button. Game seems to wait for windowing system to tell it to update which: 1. Never happens for x11 without Emulate desktop mode 2. Only happens for wayland when triggered by some key presses without Emulate desktop mode 3.
