I got Star Monkey to work using this...

1 Install using Wine OS
2 Goto folder /home/USER/.wine/drive_c/Neo/Star
3 Run monkey.exe using the app "PortProton"

with the settings...
WINE PROTON_LG_10-228

Under Base settings turn on
VIRTUAL DESKTOP
DGVOODOO2
GAMESSCOPE

dgVooddoo2
USE DX12
VRAM 4096

GameScope 
FULLSCREEN
