[Bug 60496] New: imc LICENSE Manager 4.5 reports "The license file is korrupt" (because creation time is emulated on Linux)
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60496 Bug ID: 60496 Summary: imc LICENSE Manager 4.5 reports "The license file is korrupt" (because creation time is emulated on Linux) Product: Wine Version: 11.0 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: ntdll Assignee: wine-bugs@list.winehq.org Reporter: aleksi@joal.fi Target Milestone: --- Distribution: --- Created attachment 82349 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=82349 Trace showing read-back failing, but not the SetFileTime call. (WINEDEBUG=+file,+seh) The application writes a file 'Imc.lic', sets creation and last-write time, stores both in the file and compares them on the next read. Wine on Linux ignores the set creation time and reports creation time = mtime. This is related to bug 36958, I want to mention this affected application. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Created attachment 82349 [details] Trace showing read-back failing, but not the SetFileTime call. (WINEDEBUG=+file,+seh)
The application writes a file 'Imc.lic', sets creation and last-write time, stores both in the file and compares them on the next read. Wine on Linux ignores the set creation time and reports creation time = mtime.
This is related to bug 36958, I want to mention this affected application.
Wouldn't it be better for you to update the app affected in bug 36958 comments directly? From your comments is it safe to assume bug 60496 is the exact bug as bug 36958 - only difference being you added affected app? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60496 --- Comment #2 from Aleksi Pihkanen <aleksi@joal.fi> --- Unfortunately I can not change this app to which I'm not the author. It is probably in wide use with this design and I don't expect the handling of license files to change. Yes, bug 36958 is essentially the same. This one adds Wine version, hardware and affected application. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
