programs/winecfg/winecfg.c now defines a function called setkey(). This same function also appears in stdlib.h and unistd.h on FreeBSD 5.x systems, so the build on these platforms fails with winecfg.c:136: error: conflicting types for `setkey' /usr/include/stdlib.h:211: error: previous declaration of `setkey' (How) can we address this in Wine? Hello. Trying to extract / build these on RedHat RHEL 3.0. I get the attached results from /tcltk-winesetuptk-0.72/build.sh with the end result that [Error] Static tk library build failed As a result the winesetuptk installation fails. CoCreateInstance now fails on msxml4.dll

Any ideas on this? (The problem has become apparent since 20040914 but was probably lurking before) Working with a current Wine environment (as of yesterday); fresh .wine created and the DllOverride added to call native ole32 If you run regsvr32 /s msxml4.dll it registers itself as at %SystemRoot%\system\msxml4.dll (As of 20040914 it would register itself as at c:\windows\system\msxml4.dll) If you try to CoCreateInstance (... a class in msxml4.dll e.g. SAXXMLReader40...) then it now fails. (It succeeds under the builtin ole32) I have run a +relay trace. Between the call to RegQueryKey that gets the path, complete with %SystemRoot%, and the call to LoadLibraryEx (called with %SystemRoot%) there is no apparent attempt to call a function to expand the string (and in particular it does not call ExpandEnvironmentString) I've even looked at all the calls between the start of the CoCreateInstance and the LoadLibrary and I don't see anything obviously problematic I will look at the full trace but I'm not hopefull of spotting what earlier call resulted in ole32 not trying to expand the string. Problems using set in winedbg

Am I just doing this wrong or is it a bug? I am trying to figure out a problem in an application. I want to turn on reg and relay once I am into the program. (If they are turned on initially I can't get into the program because of some sort of timeout or something). I am following the instructions in the Wine Developer's Guide. I start the program itself in one terminal and get past the timeout-critical bit. In another terminal I start winedbg, use info process to find the id (there are three processes by this point), and attach to the process. I can now do things like info share info regs etc. c/Ctrl-C Each time I get the Wine-dbg> prompt If I type set + reg <return> the debugger seems to sort of hang. It doesn't give the prompt. As time passes it complains about being not able to find rhe pdb files etc. but at no point do I get the opportunity to tell it to continue. I have tried leaving it for 10 minutes after the last pdb complaint but still no success. If we mix static and allocated data in the same structure, there is a big risk that we will one day try to free static data, with random results. Hi All, I've been given the thankless task of getting a legacy application running under Linux. It requires the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) to run, but I cant get them to install (either 2.6 or 2.8). Does anyone have a howto or can give me the skinny on what sacrifices I need to make to get this installed? I'm running Gentoo Wine 20040716. Thanks in advance Tom

Couldn't winetest fill in the proper test results fields necessary for acceptance when compiled to an exe.so and run in wine?

env lookup in loading a dll

Anyone any ideas about this? With recent changes in Wine, registering msxml4.dll results in the path in the registry being %SystemRoot%\system\msxml4.dll (which is correct). Previously it was the explicit C:\windows\system\msxml4.dll. The result is that CoCreateInstance results in an attempt to LoadLibraryExW ("%SystemRoot%..., which LoadLibraryEx cannot handle (even under Windows). There does not appear to be an attempt to call GetEnvironmentVariable or GetWindowDirectory between the registry access that gets the InProcServer32 and the call to LoadLibraryExW. Does anyone have any idea where the fault is likely to be?
