Put in other words the running_on_visible_desktop is not correct (enough). I've downloaded http://www.astro.gla.ac.uk/users/paulm/WRT/CrossBuilt/winetest-200503091000… and ran it (interactively of course) on my win98 and win2000 box. It doesn't start and complains with the error (as in the patch) "Tests must be run on a visible desktop". Paul.

Test suite, todo_wine and different kernels versions

Hallo, with kernel 2.6.11 PeekNamedPipe() works as expected. You've rewritten every function in uninstaller.c, as far as I can tell. Is there any reason you need to do that to convert to using a dialog? I think you may need to break it up even further to get it applied, but the final decision isn't mine. I'd encourage you to write a patch that only converts the window to a dialog, and get that applied first. When that is done, you can think about unicode conversion. Mike

Addition to winsock conformance test - select() server

Hi, We're working to add conformance tests to winsock, and we've currently added a test server that uses select(). Before we post to wine-patches, we'd appreciate any critiques/input. We ran gcov to see how much of dlls/winsock/socket.c we tested, and found: Before: 37.14% of 1839 lines executed in file socket.c After (select() server code): 41.16% of 1839 lines executed in file socket.c http://hkn.icsl.ucla.edu/~tom/socket.c.gcov.txt We'd also appreciate other targets to test. Currently we plan to add tests for sendto, recvfrom, and getservbyname. Hi, I now understand the purpose of SERVER_START_REQ et al, but now I'm in server/protocol.def and I'm trying to add a protocol definition for load_key. load_key is implemented in server/registry.c, but is not in server/protocol.def so, if I'm correct, I can't make a call to load_key from ntdll yet. I am trying to add load_key to protocol.def, but I don't know the semantics of this file. Is there any documentation available for this topic, or does anyone have any information that could be added to the docs? -- James Hawkins

wininet HTTP_HttpSendRequestW problem -- with correct attachment
