comm brokenness -- any plans to fix?

Hi, is there anyone willing to fix the serial port borkedness (data going out, but not coming back in)? If not, I might have to do that as I wish to get a couple developer tools from Windows running under wine (namely Zilog's Developer Studio and Parallax's SX-KEY). Cheers, Kuba Ober

dbghelp functions are A only

Hi, I noticed that dbghelp's functions are only implemented as A variant, while MSDN says they're available as either Unicode or Ascii variant. Should we rename the current ones A and create stub W before properly implementing in W and make the A call the W? Also, I noticed quite a lot of prototypes in dbghelp.dll from MSDN with PTSTR or PCTSTR types for strings instead of LPTSTR. Should the prototype in dbghelp.h and the actual implementation use PTSTR or LPTSTR? The origin of all this is because following email from François yesterday about wineapi_check, I wanted to add the types for each dll in win32.api to reduce the number of lines emitted by the tool, but I have questions as to how to do it properly. .so dependancies in winegcc

Hi all, I'm still working on getting wine going on hpux, and I thought I should submit patches for more of the changes I've made. There were a couple of places in winegcc where there were some assumptions made about .so being the shared library extension and .exe.so being the executable suffix - There was a partial fix to handle .dylib for MacOS, but it wasn't well unified... I've created defines for SHLIBSUFFIX and EXESUFFIX in utils.h, and changed the places where .so or .exe.so was used to use the right define. This does slightly change the logic of the code though --- the way it was written before, winegcc would have (partially) done the right thing given a .dylib file on linux, or given a .so file on MacOS... I think this was just an unintended side-effect of the way things were implemented- but I'm not 100% sure... I've attached the patches I came up with - does this look reasonable? Warren

Cross build failed, anyone else get this?

Alexandre, I just noticed that this patch conflicts with my previous patch "Remove unused types from win{16,32}.api" (I just forgot it wasn't committed yet). Don't apply this one for now, I'll send another version which will be between (current cvs + remove unused) and (current cvs + remove unused + add new). Vincent

The relevant code is X11DRV:BRUSH_SelectSolidBrush + X11DRV:X11DRV_PALETTE_ToPhysical. So I think your patch isn't really correct, because it will break brushes created with PALETTEINDEX and match stock brushes with PALLETTERGB colors (which isn't right either on non-true color surfaces). build problems with/without alsa 0.9

After buildproblems with alsa at my samba sserver (alsa 0.9) I have removed the sound, (hi works without). After them I have other problems. No rules for build. Can anyone help ?
