WTF? I think this patch needed to have the file bug.php, it is not there, there is no such file, now the link no longer work, plz fix ASAP, either revert the patch or send the file............. List other downloads on winehq

Following a discussion on IRC with a new user, we probably want to list on the Download page on winehq what other packages are available on sf, besides Wine per se. Also, besides DCOM95, there are a couple other Microsoft packages that people are sometimes encouraged to install to get some functionality that Wine hasn't matched yet. Does somebody have a list of what can be found (and installed on a non-Windows platform) on Microsoft's site? Vincent

It would appear not. The 'version' type is declared as a number further up and when it attempts to parse a dotted version it just returns 0. Rob

You don't need windows installed at all. You only need a windows license, the EULA says you must have a valid license for the computer where you're installing IE. It doesn't matter if windows is installed or not. I got this confirmed by Microsoft. Ivan.

We currently have dcom95 on the sf download page. This is a violation of the sf TOS, and a waste of bandwidth for sf. I propose we link the microsoft download page, instead of having the download on a page that should host only open source. Any objections? Ivan.

Still trying to install ZooTycoon (demo-version)

Hi, I'm still trying (won't give up) to install the ZooTycoon demo from M$. Unfortunatly I've been debugging for the last weeks and cannot seem to find the cause/error/reason it fails. I'm downloading new versions from CVS daily but only seem to find other stuff :-). The installation (copying of files) stops at the point when a new background picture should be shown during the copying. I still have the feeling it all boils down to messaging. I see that all PostMessage's are done to the main thread (0009). The PeekMessage's are all done from a relevant thread, ergo : nothing found. If I look at the debug-log the only entries at the end are thousends of PeekMessage's. I also see when debugging it on windows that the PeekMessages are done from the main thread ! Does somebody have any hint how to tackle this one ? It appears that several M$ demo programs suffer the same problem, so it could be worthwile to pursue this one. Cheers, Paul.
