Seems like I am getting the same error running gta2: Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0x00000004 in 32-bit code (0x4477cad3). Useful tool to do testing with different fake_windows

Hello, While writting the games compatibility list, i wanted to use a different fake_windows with every game. It was a bit bored, make the fake_windows and prepare the config files everytime. So i wrote a simple perl script what helps doing it. If you are interested in use it, uncompress the wineenv.tgz file in your home directory. Then edit the file wineenv.pl, modifing the vars regedit path, winedefault.reg path, and fake_windows base path. After edit the config file included in ".wineenv/config", with the info about your drives and your favourite options (it will be the default config), and finally rename your original ".wine" directory. It is very easy to use. Run "wineenv.pl name-of-environment", and the first time what you run it, it will create the fake_windows, and the config files for this fake_windows, and besides this fake_windows will be the active (it does a link from .wine to .wineenv/name-of-environment). The next times what you use "wineenv.pl name-of-environment" with the same "name-of-environment", it will do that "name-of-environment" the active one. Wine Status-DLLs Page Update

Hello, I have a first draft of all the updates for the DLLs page. If you have the time could you look it over and let me know what you think ? There are a couple DLLs that I dont have a status for yet. This will be the first time there listed here :) So any info on them is most appreciated. I want to split the DLLs page into three sections DLLs, DirectX, Multimedia is this alright with everyone ? anyone have any ideas about this ? I have also listed everything in alphabetical order. easy on the eyes and it makes it a little easier when updating this. I am aware Martin is no longer maintainer of ws_2 but im leaving him and Mike posted as the last (Recent primary worker). I'm really not sure what to do about the Documentation status as it has been brought up here before that MSDN has alot of Doc's in place. I could change all the (Nonexistent) entries to Poor ?? Or if you know the Doc status just let me know and it will be changed :) Any Ideas about this ?? I also have a working draft of the Status-Core page as well. After this update I will then post it for everyone to look over. Many Thanks Tom

Success Story with Tomb Raider 3

Thanks to the D3D/ddraw workers, the last storm of patches makes Tomb Raider 3 able to start. You must set ZBuffer to on to get all graphics, and we run into gray levels at the moment. Agent crashes when accessing attachments

Howdy, I just reinstalled my Linux system (HD crash), and at the same time moved to a RH9.0 distro. I read about the problems with the NPTL threading, and I have the latest CVS running (with the --with-nptl). Now when I have Agent running (which in all other respects seems fine) every time I go to add an attachment or save an attachment Agent crashes. Is this a known problem? GL Header question

Hi, I just wanted to apologize for the breaks caused by all the d3d8 commits. The gl headers are a real nightmare, and whereas we would have caught the problems over time, instead we get them all in one go. Just a question - What is the general feeling about us having our own gl headers. Our basic aim is to query support before using it, but we need to be able to compile in higher support than available on the build machine. I would initially see something as simple as a /include/wine/winegl.h, and we put all definitions in there (even if they would have come from glext, glx, glxext etc). To start with, it would only be used for d3d8 but probably ddraw support is easy. Comments? Jason
