Hello Wine developers. With OpenAI Codex's help, I am bringing Forté Agent, Paint Shop Pro and Windows Movie Maker to Debian 12. Agent 8 handles my established mail/news archive, and Paint Shop Pro 9 is usable. Movie Maker 2012 has progressed from startup failures to importing clips, visual editing, project save/reopen, video/audio playback and short H.264/AAC exports. This modified setup uses Wine 11.0, Intel graphics, a private newer Mesa runtime, DXVK, selected native Microsoft DLLs and local compatibility corrections. Movie Maker runs offline without a Microsoft account. The remaining blocker is long-session stability. New Project leaves substantial memory resident; in a two-pass import/playback comparison, residency grew from approximately 1.9 to 3.0 GiB. A longer session previously encountered allocation failures and crashed. This suggests accumulation but does not establish a leak or its owner; the comparison also included an overnight interval. Restarting between projects is our present workaround. Would anyone suggest a focused way to identify the retained allocations or graphics/media resources? I can provide detailed findings, logs, reproduction steps and patch information on request. Thank you for Wine and any guidance. Larry Dighera
