When a named item (REF_OBJ) is called with arguments, invoke its default property (DISPID_VALUE) instead of returning E_NOTIMPL. This is needed for patterns like PlayerScores(0).SetValue(1000) where PlayerScores is a named IDispatch object with a default indexed property. Emit two OP_step instructions in for-to loops (matching the for-each pattern with two OP_enumnext), so that errors in the second OP_step are caught by the end-of-loop handler and exit the loop instead of re-entering the body. Convert VT_EMPTY to VT_I2(0) in OP_numval so that legitimate Empty values become numeric while error-handler-padded VT_EMPTY values remain distinguishable. When assigning an object (VT_DISPATCH) to a property, Wine looks for Property Set. If only Property Let is defined, fall back to using it with the object's default value. This allows code that uses Property Let with object arguments (which extracts the default value) to work when Property Set is not defined. HID child PDOs were created with DeviceType 0 and no characteristics, causing GetFileType() to return FILE_TYPE_DISK instead of FILE_TYPE_UNKNOWN. This broke .NET applications (e.g. ETS6) that use FileStream on HID device handles, as FileStream incorrectly treats FILE_TYPE_DISK handles as seekable files. Set DeviceType to FILE_DEVICE_UNKNOWN and Characteristics to FILE_AUTOGENERATED_DEVICE_NAME to match Windows behavior, and add an IRP_MJ_QUERY_VOLUME_INFORMATION handler to return these values. [PATCH 0/2] MR10377: qcap: Fix Smart Tee negotiation and V4L WoW64 media type marshaling

During my time playing VRChat, I discovered that the webcam face tracking feature was not working. The symptoms indicated that while the device could be detected, it could not be accessed; an error message stated “webcam incompatible or in use with another app,” and the camera activity light remained off. By capturing logs and analyzing them with AI, I gradually pinpointed the issue: the system required the RGB32 video format, but it could not be provided. With the assistance of AI (providing both the conceptual approach and sample code), I implemented modifications to the Smart Tee filter’s allocator and RGB32 negotiation, and further fixed the V4L backend’s WoW64 media type marshalling. Afterward, I manually tested the relevant modifications on Windows 11 to align the behavior between the two environments. I then used the patched Wine to test the previously problematic AMCap, extracted the patch, and built a custom GE-Proton. I verified that the VRChat webcam face tracking feature now works correctly. This patch should alleviate similar failures encountered by DirectShow-based applications in Wine environments when initializing or previewing webcam streams. -- https://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/wine/-/merge_requests/10377
