My PC has 2 display monitors, one with 3840x2160 resolution (#1) and the second with 1920x1080 resolution (#2). #1 has a resolution scaling at 200% to avoid the "barrier" between the two screens which block the mouse and it is my main display. Scaling resolution in winecfg is set to 192pp and i have this issue with 96ppp (default) too. The problem is encountered when i set a smaller resolution than the #1 resolution, ex : 2560x1440 or 1920x1080. With these resolutions, the mouse cursor is not at the right place so i can navigate in the main menu or change option. "0024:err:mscoree:CLRRuntimeInfo_GetRuntimeHost Wine Mono is not installed" and I thought Mono is no part of Wine and developed by WineHQ. I will soon try to install mono-complete 6.12.0.199+dfsg-6 on my Kubuntu 24.04.3 with Wine 9.0. But I found via Internet research that dotnet8 should be install if after installing mono-complete this error message is stil present one my install dotnet8. Unfortunately I have not found any info on WineHQ about this probem. On Windows, mmioRead() updates lBufOffset and mmioSeek() does not update lBufOffset, while on Wine the exact opposite happens. The attached program shows the bug. Three Games: - Worms Revolution Gold Edition - Vertical Drop Heroes HD - Tower 57 are not working at all, as the display shows less than 1/4 of the screen being extremely blurred. So all show the same problem and all have low res grphics. I am using 4k screen with DPI factor 256 and I thought changing one or both - scaling and resolution - would do the job. But the small part of the game output visible does not even change in any way when using FHD (1920x1080) res. Is this a known problem or can you give infos/links about this problem? I think "Worms Revolution" is a game which should work as it is really famous for a reason. Unfortunately GOG is only providing support for the OS given - so in that case for Windows - which I would not use. I discussed about trying to support Wine, too - but at least concerning the support they have orders which does not help gamers. I am an experienced Unix administratior form Sciences and IT industry and if I can help, I can provide further info if one could guide about the important parameters. Unfortunately I am not yet prepared to use development versions of Wine an I am astonished that it is not more important to give the latest stable version. Wine HW did a great job as e.g. Atari Reacharged can not work except for "Blach Widow Recharged" with Wine 9 (Kubuntu 24.04 LTS based) while all work flawlessly with Wine 10. If you can give hint to further information, I would be happy. As my tries getting info like AppDB did not work for me at all. Now using Wine to use the Windows versions I succeeded with Samorost 1 and Botanicula - so I tested further and unfortnately it got a new problem (which may be roghly related to my Wine bugreport 59078): Title Developer & Publisher Release ----------------------------- ---------------------------- ---------- CHUCHEL Amanita Design 07.03.2018 Samorost 2 Amanita Design 10.12.2009 so it started right - the entire screen shows everything and elements visble do work. But with 1st click a ghost of the entire screen but 1/4 its size is in the upper left corner - here no element can be used and it is flickering / flashing ... The way it overlaps in Chuchel is visible by the attatched screenshot (but the flashing effects of the ghost would need a video ... but this should be clear). If this worked, I would have bought and tested two other games ... but this problem may also be with Samorost 3 and another title, I assume.
