The definition of the temp directory was necessary because otherwise wine complained about not being able to write to my /tmp directory which was linked as a dos device (default setup). So it will take some knowledge to find out the real wine executable. "wine" itself is only a script. To find out yourself, you probably have to learn some more Linux basics... I get the following error: preloader.c: In function `wld_mmap': preloader.c:237: error: can't find a register in class `BREG' while reloading `asm' I suppose the assembly code in that file does not work with pie/stack-protector. My gcc compiles with stack-protector by default.
