I tried that method already, see here: http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-devel/2005-June/037336.html I've written a portable patch that handles integer conversions. I sent a message to wine-devel I thought last night to ask for comments but it hasn't come through. It's modeled after my last patch so it should cover all the I64 quirks like before. Vertex shaders shouldn't cause a crash without an error being raised whatever graphics card you have especially when you consider NVidias drivers are much better than ATI's. I downloaded and installed the Cg compiler (I'm impressed..an application installed successfully, and seems to work!). I see this compiler will compile the .cg file in the demo package. With a new wine install, I did "wineprefixcreate", then set 'both "msi" = "builtin" and "*msiexec.exe" = "builtin" in the DllOverrides section in user.reg', using winecfg [which is a big step forward, even if it doesn't have a man page or any documentation at winehq.org.
