The first time I ran the program it locked up so I selected a cartridge and restarted that at least allowed me to get a little further, slowly, but then died after displaying a tiny version of the game board in the upper right hand corner of the window. "Entering directory /home/... Nothing to do for all leaving directory". In order to try the "./configure CFLAGS=-fno-stack-protector" solution, I have run a "sudo make uninstall", and then I have recompiled Wine with "./configure CFLAGS=-fno-stack-protector", "make depend", "make" and "sudo make install". Ubuntu uses sudo, so no root password can be entered.
