Also run the app in a virtual desktop (under graphics tab in 'winecfg') to see hidden messageboxes. You can get the dictionaries from ftp://xx.99.202.92/Van%20Dale.tgz if it's available. The same operation with the same files on Windows, from what remember when I used it, didn't lead eMule to crash.
