In many hours of playing, the game never once crashed. There is no flickering with the patch applied to 0.9.23. I haven't tried 0.9.24 yet. There are a few issues, however: Water surfaces: in a body of water the most distant surface of the water will occasionally flash white. Lower frame rate: It's definately lower as reported by the Titan mod in any case. I'm not sure how accurate this is but I usually get 20-30fps in wine and 30 or 60 in XP. That being said, the frame rate isn't noticably different to my eyes. Slight visual issues: it seems like there are some other visual glitches that are somewhat minor and not that noticable. They are just a little distracting.
