Most programs can't cope with that path that you used. Instead you should _always_ cd into program's dir and run it from there. To make it even closer to native, use full windows path: cd /home/andrew/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/DAZ/Studio wine 'c:\Program Files\DAZ\Studio\DAZStudio.exe" And please before reporting bugs make sure that you running latest version. It could be fixed already. The self extracting .exe extracts the Trial.exe file into windows/temp, and then complains about not having a program associated with Kid's Trial.exe. I am using the latest version of wine 0.9.14, and after successfully installing Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2 on my linux distro, I find that it does not work (despite comments on here suggested that it should). The application starts fine, but all I see is a blank dialog box - no surfbar etc. I used the full installation package of IE5.5, as the download setup program is no longer supported by Microsoft. My linux distro is Ubuntu - Dapper. There's some stuff in this code that confuses me.
