My graphics card is a nVidia FX 5700. I'm using the closed source driver because I need the 3D support. Two screen shots are attached, one show the bad text background colors, the other the screen after the flashing of screen areas started. After reverting to 0.9.16 everything is fine again. The basic layout is still intact, but all kinds of objects and areas are rapidly flashing. Many of the areas that are displayed in some weird color in the screenshot flash in white on the screen.
