The regression point is between cvs versions "2006-03-03 09:48:10 CDT" and "2006-03-03 09:48:15 CDT". If I do install the activeX controls I get this error: ERROR "Steam.exe (main exception): Win32 StructuredException at 57AFB127 : Attempt to read from virtual adress 0 without appropriate acess rights." [OK] Wine then exits. If you don't, though, it does. Which is sort of odd. Once past that point, using OpenGL (with the latest version of Rice's video plugin), it works (!) (it didn't, prior to trying it again just now), but using DirectX, it hangs when the statusbar says "Creating DirectX Device Context", and the debug output shows: err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x7f2b0c60 "x11drv_main.c: X11DRV_CritSection" wait timed out in thread 001c, blocked by 0023, retrying (60 sec) err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x7f8afae0 "gdiobj.c: GDI_level" wait timed out in thread 0023, blocked by 001c, retrying (60 sec) I'm using Wine 0.9.16.
