After this, I'm also able to see that the game did _not_ crash - it's happily playing the intro movie and I can start playing. But it seems the problem is that the left upper corner of the game is not in the left upper corner of the 1280x1024 screen, but the left upper corner of the game is approx. at the position 460x460 of the screen. It has crashed when exiting the first town the past few versions, but IIRC worked circa 0.9.20 and before. Note that you must enter shops and buy some equipment first to trigger the crash. My winver is set at Windows 3.1, and everything else is default. However, question remains if it's still a hack, or really correct.
