Yes, I agree, it can be totally different things. I have not yet figured out what to change in the dsurface testcase and how to run tests, but I'm working on it. Meanwhile, I had a look at msdn for IDirectDrawSurfaceImpl_GetSurfaceDesc (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms785087.aspx - hopefully the correct one) and the only return values that can occur are: DDERR_INVALIDOBJECT, DDERR_INVALIDPARAMS and DD_OK. Wine returns DDERR_GENERIC on size 0. I would guess that DDERR_INVALIDOBJECT is the correct error code. I did a quick test, changing the error code and ran EU2.
