It is patched to the newest version, 1.21. When running the normal game, nothing appears. I was able to install the game by going to http://www.quakelive.com/, registering. I used winetricks for 'firefox3' and 'flash', installed their plugin (wine msiexec /i QuakeLiveNP.msi), and played the game. E.g. there's some area where there is no grass as should be but there's some grass on the road where it shouldn't be. The grass keeps appearing and disappearing as I move and look around, also if I stay on the same posistion I think. With UseGLSL=disabled everything looks fine.
