You need to copy/paste the note across different versions, and if you need to edit one of them you'll need to update all manually. It would be very handy if there was a checkbox area with the existing different versions of the applications so the app maintainer could choose which versions that the note would be shown in. When I looked at config.log I found that actually configure was trying to compile with -lz and the compile was failing due to my only having 64bit libz.a. As a result, network play is impossible. Strangely, sometimes you can actually see other games on the network, but you cannot join them. Even direct connections fail.
