I am not sure if thats due wintab32,because im not a developer. Applications like SAI that are wonderfully small ,full featured and even better than photoshop for CG coloring (better brushes,other key features) work almost perfectly fine on wine, but their practically useless when tablet pressure doesnt work.. http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=11044 another application that is a freeware and a fine substitute for painter is http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=7425&iTestingI… tablet pressure works on photoshop and artrage,but not on many other key applications in the graphic world that crucially depend on it. This feature is very important,since there are absolutely no alternatives to these applications on linux (if you study their key features you'll see there arent any on windows too at the moment,especially Sai). The applications work almost perfectly on wine,but that lack of this feature stops people from taking advantage of that. Another application is Open Canvas... When wine runs in virtual desktop mode and the intro video of MechCommander is over, as soon as the mouse pointer leaves the window, the game freezes and I get a backtrace on the console. There are no errors or fixmes directly related to the crash. If I then use ctrl+c in the console, the internal debugger of MechCommander starts (this also happens if the crash has not happened), but does not seem to be of any use (missing debug symbols I think), but at least the program does not die totally. If I disable direct draw for MechCommander (edit prefs.cfg in game directory and set "b DirectDraw = F") the game runs in windowed mode itself and I have not seen the crash happen. I have seen it happen with MechCommander Gold and also with the free demo of MechCommander. Unix symlinks could be mapped into junction points. This would allow applications (e.g. Picasa) avoid following symlinks if they wanted to. Also, the .net 2 installer would be happier in winxp mode if wine supported junction points (see bug 10601): "The .NET 2.0 Framework installer checks if the target volume is NTFS filesystem type and then uses the FSCTL_SET_REPARSE_POINT ioctl (used for mount points and junctions) to create junction points for each registered assembly in Windows SxS directory to GAC assembly directory (link target). Basically the junction point is used to redirect access from one directory to another."
