The wizard fails at the first step with the message "Advanced Video Options have been disabled on your computer." err:ole:CoGetClassObject class {51b4abf3-748f-4e3b-a276-c828330e926a} not registered err:ole:CoGetClassObject class {7d8aa343-6e63-4663-be90-6b80f66540a3} not registered Both classes are related to the Video Mixing Renderer 9, part of DirectX. [Bug 12532] New: Autodesk TrueView fails to install
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org June 28, 2026

June 28, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12532 Summary: Autodesk TrueView fails to install Product: Wine Version: CVS/GIT Platform: PC URL: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?id=6703438&si teID=123112 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Keywords: download, Installer Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: msi AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: xerox_xerox2000(a)yahoo.co.uk Hi, a user submitted this new app into appdb with garbage test results, so i gave it a try as well. That user reported a problem that the disk was full, but i can't reproduce that, it fails differently here. To run into this bug you need Alex Villacis' patch here: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.emulators.wine.patches/49916 hopefully that patch will make it into git monday. after applying that patch the intaller failed with a message 'Call not implemented' The problem seems to be: fixme:MsiDatabaseGenerateTransformW By just returning ERROR_SUCCESS, it ran into two other unimplemnted functions: MsiQueryFeatureStateFromDescriptorA and MsiCreateTransformSummaryInfoW By stubbing these out with ERROR_SUCCESS the installer claimed to be successfull (but i guess that's doubtful). Anyway , this all shows that these three functions need to be implemented to get this installer finish, and that's where I created this bug for. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9901 Summary: GetMonitorInfo returns wrong work area Product: Wine Version: CVS/GIT Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: wine-x11driver AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: lich(a)math.spbu.ru GetMontorInfo always returns rcWork equal to rcMonitor, but it must take panels and taskbars into account. The only solution I can see is to use SystemParametersInfo(SPI_SETWORKAREA) during initialization time, but I do not know how to deal with different monitors. P.S. It is needed to properly implement maximum dimensions of console window. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

To download the version without gameguard, go here: http://rapidshare.com/files/100726682/OdinMS.rar.html I also had to patch ntoskrnl.exe in order for it to pass some missing unimplemented methods. I have attached my patch. Installation and game start seems to work well. But the mouse icon is customized for the game, and changes depending on whether there is an object under the mouse with which you can interact. [Bug 25648] New: ie8 does not navigate to web pages or obey home page setting
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org June 12, 2026

June 12, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25648 Summary: ie8 does not navigate to web pages or obey home page setting Product: Wine Version: 1.3.2 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com (From http://code.google.com/p/winezeug/issues/detail?id=159 ) "winetricks ie8" succeeds, but the resulting browser doesn't seem to work. There are workarounds if you just care about the contents of the browser (e.g. you can use ie6's main window, and ie8's guts), but I don't know of a workaround for getting ie8's main window to work. This has probably never worked, but I'm marking 1.3.2 since that's when I first tried it. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 25431] New: Wine shouldn't change the gamma value
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org June 9, 2026

June 9, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25431 Summary: Wine shouldn't change the gamma value Product: Wine Version: 1.3.8 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: incarus6(a)googlemail.com Some games (like Shaya http://shaiya.aeriagames.com/ ) can change the gamma value (I don't know how exactly, but it have the same effect as using the xgamma command in Linux). When you play in windowed mode (or with dual-screen) it is really annoying (and causing eyestrain) when the gamma value is too high. There should be an option to disable the possibility for games and software to change the gamma value. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 23326] New: Cannot change printer settings, Family Tree 7
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org June 8, 2026

June 8, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23326 Summary: Cannot change printer settings, Family Tree 7 Product: Wine Version: 1.2-rc4 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: jamesl(a)bestweb.net Created an attachment (id=29072) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=29072) FTW7 print dialogue, compare Wine to XP Cannot select printer/change print settings with Family Tree Maker 7. Dialogue box comes up, drop-down boxes are working, but radio buttons for switching between "default printer" and an alternate printer are not selectable. Have compared the print dialogue between Wine vs a native install under Windows XP (SP3) and notice some text from the Windows install does not show up under Wine. Also tried the same thing with the "free" version of FTM2005se available at http://past.familytreemaker.com/download/starter.aspx and found it's behavior is the same. So I will describe steps from there, since it would be eaier for someone to get that to test against. STEPS TO RECREATE: 1: Set up wine profile with "WINEPREFIX=/home/jelabarre/wine-apps/ftw2005 winecfg"; set winver to "Windows XP", point the Documents directory under Desktop Integration to my own Documents directory 2: install FTW2005 by running "WINEPREFIX=/home/jelabaWINEPREFIX=/home/jelabarre/wine-apps/ftw2005 wine ./FamilyTreeMaker2005se.exe", accept all defaults. 3: open FTW 2005 from "Wine" menu entry on Gnome menu. Selected "Buy Later" from popup window (does not affect outcome, as same print problem occurrs in a regular retail version of FTM7) 4: create new file, or use existing file (same result either way) 5: select "File | Print Setup", then try to select radio button for either "Default Printer" or "Specific Printer". Neither can be selected 6: try selecting a "specific printer" from drop-down box. Printer can be selected, but radio buttons still not functional. 7: after selecting a printer other than the default (such as print-to-PDF) and then try printing. Output will still go to the Linux default printer, no edits of the print settings will take effect. The "Family Archive Viewer v6.0" at http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/abtffiv.html and "Family Archive Viewer v11.0" at http://www.genealogy.com/abtffiv.html are other variants that exhibits this behavior. Have attached sample screenshots of Wine vs WinXP versions of the print dialogue. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
