This seems to be a regression in wined3d, but due to my internet connection (Dial-Up) I cannot do the regression testing. (Sorry for this inconvenience. :'( ) Wine 1.1.38 now reports a pagefault on read access when launching the game, attached is the log. Finally it finished installing and then crashed. It won't allow me to run the program and the output in the terminal is attached. As part of that process I'd like to be able to run the test suite via Wine. As part of the build process, I populate a DLL directory with symlinks to all the various DLLs required by the compiled executables. I thought that adding this to the PATH environmant variable would cause Wine to find the DLLs, but this is does not appear to be the case. Here's an example: $ ls -l dlls -rwxr-xr-x 1 sam sam 266749 2010-02-20 14:20 libgcc_s_sjlj-1.dll $ PATH=$PATH:dlls wine a.exe err:module:import_dll Library libgcc_s_sjlj-1.dll (which is needed by L"Z:\\tmp\\a.exe") not found err:module:LdrInitializeThunk Main exe initialization for L"Z:\\tmp\\a.exe" failed, status c0000135 So I'd like to request that an environment variable be added that contains additional directories that will be added to the DLL search path. What's worse, the workaround of running the installer again didn't work for me. When I ran setup.exe directly for a second time, once again de-selecting all Office apps except Word, the installer deleted a bunch of files and then restored them, with the result being the same as before, i.e. a full Office installation. Launching the installer via "Uninstall Wine Software", "Modify" or "Remove" resulted in an error message from the installer ("aborted before completion" or something like this, no further details given) and Excel (but none of the other unwanted Office apps) having disappeared from Wine/Programs.
