This problem was most likely a fusion API related insufficiency which has been fixed a long time ago. Probably failure to enumerate DirectX assemblies in system GAC due to stubs. Resolving fixed. Reopen if this still happens on recent Wine. There is no 'winetricks dotnet20' needed as Wine's fusion is mature enough for this. It seems like these games are switching to the native resolution of the primary display rather than keeping the combined TwinView resolution. For example, I have a 1680x1050 primary monitor and a 1440x900 secondary monitor. This gives me a TwinView resolution of 3120x1050. When I launch Perfect World or a Source-engine based game in windowed mode, the resolution is changed to 1680x1050, which shuts off my secondary monitor.
