After I first launched the game it claimed that d3dx9_25.dll could not be found. So I downloaded it from this url: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_25 I moved it to: ~/.wine/drive_c/Programme/3000AD/Universal Combat/ I launch the game with this command: cd ~/.wine/drive_c/Programme/3000AD/Universal\ Combat env WINEDEBUG=fixme-all WINEPREFIX="~/.wine" wine "C:\Programme\3000AD\Universal Combat\uc.exe" The game has to be launched from the install directory because otherwise it claims the the config files can not be found. After executing the command sometimes a black game window appears without changing and sometimes it does not. But the error messages from wine are always the same and can be found in the attachment. This crash happens when a character portrait image request fails.
