During this time a special graphical effect is done on screen (normaly). When you try it, Gnome gives the error Text ended before matching quote was found for ". I've attached a winedbg run showing the first-chance exceptions incurred, the first couple being during startup, which did not cause any noticeable problems, and the last few being when the reported access violation occurs.
