[Bug 32195] New: Missing .Net 4 support in Wine
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Nov. 28, 2012

Nov. 28, 2012

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32195 Bug #: 32195 Summary: Missing .Net 4 support in Wine Product: Wine Version: 1.5.17 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: mscoree AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: fgouget(a)codeweavers.com Classification: Unclassified Created attachment 42477 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=42477 +mscoree trace Now that Image Composite Editor can be installed (see bug 32187), it fails on startup with the following messages: fixme:mscoree:parse_supported_runtime sku=L".NETFramework,Version=v4.0,Profile=Client" not implemented ... trace:mscoree:CLRMetaHost_GetRuntime L"v4.0" {bd39d1d2-ba2f-486a-89b0-b4b0cb466891} 0x33fc48 fixme:mscoree:CLRMetaHost_GetRuntime Unrecognized version L"v4.0" I take that to mean that Wine's Mono support does not extend to .Net 4, although the further message below might mean it's just PresentationFramework support that's missing (but it feels like it's just going to be the next roadblock). trace:mscoree:mono_assembly_search_hook_fn "PresentationFramework, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" In any case, installing .Net 4 gets it to fail with another error altogether (see bug 29676). I'm attaching a +mscoree trace for reference. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 32248] New: Football Manager 2013 crashes unless SetNamedPipeHandleState is patched
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Nov. 28, 2012

Nov. 28, 2012

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32248 Bug #: 32248 Summary: Football Manager 2013 crashes unless SetNamedPipeHandleState is patched Product: Wine Version: 1.5.17 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: kernel32 AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: darkael(a)gmail.com Classification: Unclassified Created attachment 42546 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=42546 error popups http://store.steampowered.com/app/207890/ <- demo available here Tested with 1.5.17 and latest git revision (098b3c72941c81) When trying to run the Football Manager 2013 demo, the game crashes with two Fatal Error popups about SetNamedPipeHandleState and ConnectNamedPipe (see attached screenshot, I can't select the text). After some research I found out that the game doesn't crash if I change the function SetNamedPipeHandleState to return true instead of false (see attached patch). I have no idea what this does, but the game runs flawlessly with this change, although it takes quite a lot of time to start. This may be related to bug 17273, but the patches posted there look a lot scarier. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
