http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32040 Bug #: 32040 Summary: The Witcher - Graphical glitches with ARB shader backend Product: Wine Version: 1.5.15 Platform: x86-64 URL: http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/the_witcher OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3d AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: dredgingthelake(a)gmail.com Classification: Unclassified Created attachment 42229 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=42229 The Witcher - Terminal output The Witcher has graphical glitches when running with the ARB shader backend. It used to work fine in older versions of wine, so I ran a regression test: 7cc4f47afe2dbb112b0a84cb557160872e71c016 is the first bad commit commit 7cc4f47afe2dbb112b0a84cb557160872e71c016 Author: Matteo Bruni <mbruni(a)codeweavers.com> Date: Mon Aug 20 22:34:58 2012 +0200 wined3d: Force ARB shader programs reselection on bool/int constant changes. The ARB shader backend hardcodes some constant-dependent state in the shader itself (e.g. branch taken/not taken). So, we have to make sure to update the selected ARB shader when the application modifies non-float constants. :040000 040000 2d7d6202bfa34455e324e1f098cbd59f03a0093d 1dc7556802b30bfe2e7fb0918310f03fa8a91d20 M dlls System info: NVIDIA GTX275 nvidia-drivers-310.14 wine-1.5.15 (tested current GIT as well) -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 28900] New: Jedi Academy Multiplayer Mouse regression in 1.3.x
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Nov. 21, 2012

Nov. 21, 2012

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28900 Bug #: 28900 Summary: Jedi Academy Multiplayer Mouse regression in 1.3.x Product: Wine Version: 1.3.31 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: newfie.bugreporting(a)gmail.com Classification: Unclassified Tested on two completely different machines with different Linux distros (Ubuntu 11.04 and Fedora 15 x64). There have been some mouse issues which prevent JKA (only testing multiplayer) from being playable. Starting at around 1.3.14 the mouse has been completely broken- the cursor randomly freezes and darts around the screen every few seconds. This issue has largely been fixed, but there are still lingering issues in 1.3.31. Compared to the last time I tried WINE beta (1.3.22?) this has improved lots but is still not playable. Instead of the mouse freezing entirely, it just feels "lagged" and sort of chops around the screen every other second. The amount of mouse movement and precision in JA's multiplayer makes playing under these conditions impossible. The problem is most noticeable on menus, where the mouse *does* still freeze and slow down dramatically. Additionally, the mouse movement seems to get worse and worse the longer the game is played. Nutshell.. Expected experience: The mouse should be perfectly smooth like on Windows. Actual experience: The mouse stutters, lags, and locks up for brief periods making it impossible to play the game. I appreciate any sort of feedback or comments on this. There are a growing number of Linux users in the JKA community who would love to see this fixed before 1.4 goes stable Just to clarify, this isn't a "fix me now!" request. Keep up the great work. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Look at comment #14, it even gives you a working patch.
