[Bug 8783] USB serial ports do not work
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org June 6, 2012

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8783 Ma Xiaojun <damage3025(a)gmail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |damage3025(a)gmail.com --- Comment #59 from Ma Xiaojun <damage3025(a)gmail.com> 2012-06-06 03:54:23 CDT --- Hi, all. Serial Port related problem is hard to debug since it requires extra hardware that wine developers may not have. I just find a much simpler way of testing Serial Port stuff; connecting the RXD and TXD pins together to build a loopback Serial Port. Check the following document for details: http://www.quatech.com/pdf/hyperterminal.pdf For the software part, I'd recommend open source Tera Term instead of proprietary Hyper Terminal. http://ttssh2.sourceforge.jp/ I've successfully seen character echoing back on Tera Term, Windows 7 with loopback USB Serial Port. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25476 Summary: MS Office Pro 2010 Trial: setup.exe is started when starting installed apps if Outlook is installed Product: Wine Version: 1.3.9 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: dimesio(a)earthlink.net To reproduce: 1. [Bug 3591] py2exe does not work properly
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org June 3, 2012

June 3, 2012

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3591 --- Comment #17 from Bernhard Reiter <ockham(a)raz.or.at> 2012-06-03 16:39:24 CDT --- Should've probably tried a more minimal test case. It's really just more missing DLLs (wxWidgets related, in this case). Upon copying them to the right place, I was able to produce a working NSIS installer, install and run this piece of software. (But I guess retrieving those DLLs is what BindImageEx's job would be.) (If anyone cares, the software I'm trying this out with is Trelby, found at www.trelby.org and on github -- local branch, though.) (In reply to comment #16) > FWIW, I just installed the Wine 1.5.5 .deb under Ubuntu 11.10 (amd64) and tried > py2exe; unfortunately, it still complains about imagehlp:BindImageEx being a > stub. The log then gives a > > ImportError: DLL load failed: Modul not found. > > It'd be really great to be able to build Windows .exe-cutables for Python code > with Wine. The resulting .exe is missing Python27.dll, which can be fixed by copying it to the same directory, but even then, it won't run. The log then gives a ImportError: DLL load failed: Modul not found. It'd be really great to be able to build Windows .exe-cutables for Python code with Wine.
