[Bug 30757] New: Dota 2 won't render with d3d9ex
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org July 17, 2012

July 17, 2012

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30757 Bug #: 30757 Summary: Dota 2 won't render with d3d9ex Product: Wine Version: 1.5.4 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: kelytharun(a)gmail.com Classification: Unclassified As title says, if Dota 2 is run with the d3d9ex rendering engine, the game simply won't render at all. Of course an easy workaround exists, with the -nod3d9ex switch the game can be forced to use a different renderer that works fine under Wine. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 20170] New: Gruntz: Slow down a lot when displaying text
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org July 17, 2012

July 17, 2012

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20170 Summary: Gruntz: Slow down a lot when displaying text Product: Wine Version: 1.1.28 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: miro(a)hroncok.cz Gameplay slows down a lot, when text is displayed in game window. I mean white text with information in top left corner or text when writing cheats. Displaying text in game guides is OK, same as text in classic Windows dialogs. Steps to reproduce: For white text in top lef corner: 1. start playing the game (SINGLEPLAYER > QUICKSTART) 2. click the mouse button twice, to actually start playing the game 3. hit F5 to quicksave the game 4. set a name of the game and click on Save 5. OK all the dialogs 6. F5 again 5. the white text appears in top left corner, game slows down until text disappears (This may not work in the demo.) For writing a cheat: 1. start playing the game (SINGLEPLAYER > QUICKSTART) 2. click the mouse button twice, to actually start playing the game 3. hit Enter and write something 4. game slows down 5. hit Enter again 6. game is OK again It is not playable during the time, game is slowed down. Also I know two things: 1. Neither CPU or Memory usage goes up during the slow down. 2. There are no errors or text in the terminal during the slow down. Demo link: http://download.cnet.com/Gruntz-demo/3000-7562_4-10026065.html PS Sorry, but I didn't test this in any earlier version of Wine, so it is possible this is happening since ever... -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 30602] New: GTA2 crashes on exit
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org July 17, 2012

July 17, 2012

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30602 Bug #: 30602 Summary: GTA2 crashes on exit Product: Wine Version: 1.3.13 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3d AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: wylda(a)volny.cz Classification: Unclassified Created attachment 40043 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=40043 Crash from wine-1.3.12-151-g8872239. You do not even need to play the game. In initial game's menu choose QUIT and the game instead of clean exit crashes. 1. I did a regression test between 1.3.12 and 1.3.13: 8872239088c5e1b096cfc9203e008add68336ba4 is the first bad commit commit 8872239088c5e1b096cfc9203e008add68336ba4 Author: Henri Verbeet <hverbeet(a)codeweavers.com> Date: Thu Jan 27 20:11:12 2011 +0100 ddraw: Link directly to wined3d. :040000 040000 0b3a9f97320559e3a2fd6e0a31bd8b9a5af37650 cf827f4517285e725d1d49ce416b657c18b59694 M dlls 2. No other bug report suffers from this commit. 3. Revert of this patch after git checkout makes that problem go away. (Can't be cleanly reverted on top of wine-1.5.3-164-gdec3d50) Crash log from wine-1.5.3 is the same as from wine-1.3.13. The game is freely download-able from it's vendor at http://www.rockstargames.com/classics/?id=3 There is another regression in 1.5.3 - needs to be run in game's native resolution. I'm going to address this 2nd regression soon. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
