When i launch a single-player game, the game hangs when displaying the welcome screen saying "click to continue". I have to kill wine from a terminal to exit. I tried downgrading to the versions reported in the Black ops appdb entry without success. I also disabled the steam community stuff. My config is : - kernel 2.6.38 - GEForce 9800GT with nvidia binary driver v260.19.36 - OpenAL soft 1.13 attached is the console output when lauching steam, then a black ops multi-players game. Please tell me what debug switches would be helpful, and i'll provide the log(s). thanks, Seb. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 34675] New: Wine Improvement Idea
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Oct. 22, 2013

Oct. 22, 2013

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34675 Bug #: 34675 Summary: Wine Improvement Idea Product: Wine Version: 1.7.3 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: Linuxhelper2881(a)yahoo.com Classification: Unclassified Sorry had an Idea attack just need to poor it out for Wine this is not an Bug but there's all ways that Enhancement Option. For gamer’s that want more performance out of Wine and trust me this will get more Wine Users to like hard core: lets say u have a program attached to wine or add on.. that can detect all necessary programs for a Game and u want more performance out of it what this program may do is look for unnecessary files that are Running in ur computer and u just want a Game only to work there could be a button for that that will shut all of those unnecessary files down and ONLY run the Game. Also could be a option what u want to Run in ur system example: OpenGL or directX or what screen format example: 600x800 some people dont notice it but lower the screen format the better for the game to run faster depends on ur Graphics Card or chip... for my computer any ways as i noticed. But ima just tryin to help ya guys out lets say if this could happen allot more people will be using Wine like crazy at least the Gamers might. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34773 Bug #: 34773 Summary: Crimson Skies immediately crashes without a warning Product: Wine Version: 1.7.4 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: benpicco-wine(a)flauschlabor.de Classification: Unclassified Created attachment 46367 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=46367 backtrace: page fault on write access I've installed Crimson Skies from a retail CD to a new wineprefix. The Installer ran fine and everything installed without problems. But launching the game leads to a "Unhandled page fault on write access to 0x003fff9d at address 0x40e412 (thread 0027)" The only message in the console is wine: Unhandled page fault on write access to 0x003fff9d at address 0x40e412 (thread 0027), starting debugger... followed by the (attached) backtrace. This might be a duplicate of Bug 10212, but the reports says the game launches to the Mission Select screen, then a white screen where it finally crashes. For me it crashes right after running crimson.exe without any screen change, so it might be something different than this 4 year old bug. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 31680] New: Bwin Poker installer fails
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Oct. 22, 2013

Oct. 22, 2013

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31680 Bug #: 31680 Summary: Bwin Poker installer fails Product: Wine Version: 1.5.12 Platform: x86-64 URL: http://download.ongamepoker.com/games/233/W3YA/Install BwinPoker.exe OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Keywords: download, Installer Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: kennybobs(a)o2.co.uk Blocks: 26830, 28068 Classification: Unclassified The installer for Bwin Poker downloads the files it needs then attempts to execute them, but Wine's cmd cannot handle the command line. C:\bwinPoker>set PATH=C:\bwinPoker\arch\win32\jre\bin;C:\bwinPoker\arch\win32\jre\bin\client;C:\windows\system32;C:\windows;C:\windows\system32\wbem C:\bwinPoker>set JAVA_HOME=C:\bwinPoker\arch\win32\jre C:\bwinPoker>start "" "bwinPoker.exe" -classpath DJNativeSwing-SWT.jar;DJNativeSwing.jar;bjava.jar;jna-3.0.7.jar;jna_WindowsUtils.jar;jpc5_obfuscated_3480.jar;resources.jar;swt.jar -classname PokerClient -dir . -lang en -logdir "C:\users\test\Local Settings\Application Data\P5\bwin\logs" -brand bwin fixme:exec:SHELL_execute flags ignored: 0x00000100 Application could not be started, or no application associated with the specified file. ShellExecuteEx failed: Invalid parameter. Evidently this is a Java application. The installer downloads its own Java runtime, hence the "PATH=C:\bwinPoker\arch\win32\jre\bin". I tried $ wine-git cmd /C start 'bwinPoker.exe -classpath DJNativeSwing-SWT.jar;DJNativeSwing.jar;bjava.jar;jna-3.0.7.jar;jna_WindowsUtils.jar;jpc5_obfuscated_3480.jar;resources.jar;swt.jar -classname PokerClient -dir . -lang en -logdir "C:\users\test\Local Settings\Application Data\P5\bwin\logs" -brand bwin' but the result is the same Application could not be started, or no application associated with the specified file. ShellExecuteEx failed: Invalid name. This is not a Wine regression as the application has been updated. Other than the above there is nothing of relevance in the console. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 34769] New: warn:file:CreateFileW Unable to create file L"\\\\.\\pipe\\BurnPipe
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Oct. 22, 2013

Oct. 22, 2013

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34769 Bug #: 34769 Summary: warn:file:CreateFileW Unable to create file L"\\\\.\\pipe\\BurnPipe Product: Wine Version: unspecified Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: vek.m1234(a)gmail.com Classification: Unclassified www.tracker-software.com/product/pdf-xchange-editor This is a PDF Editor - the only decent editor like software for Linux+Wine. Unfortunately it doesn't work at all! The PDF Viewer software however works flawlessly in Wine+Linux. The error my friend got was: warn:file:CreateFileW Unable to create file L"\\\\.\\pipe\\BurnPipe.{429192E0-E1EE-4542-AE79-EC2020902B03}" (status c0000034) He was using wine-1.7 on Arch Linux. I tried to install this software on Wine 1.4 but couldn't get past the MSI install. Could someone please take a look at this particular package since the PDF Viewer which supports OCR and PDF highlighting and annotation works flawlessly and is very well written. Given that this software would be useful to anyone working on Linux, could it be given a higher priority. I myself can't try things out because I'm on an slow computer and the compile (wine-1.6) is in progress. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
