It's called REBA, but this won't help much, because i suppose it is widely unknown. After starting the a pop-up tells about a severe problem with the application winevdm.exe The software freezes. The program crashes - in the attachment I put the debug information. When trying to run the Mapsource updater to upgrade the successfully installed Mapsource from 6.12.x to 6.13.x or 6.15.x the installer extracts successfully but cannot proceed as it is waiting for the user to click "Next". The Next field is not drawn on the screen as shown at the following screenshot: http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm163/wczimmerman/Screenshot-MapSourceUp… The same behavior is seen with the stable version of wine available in the Lenny repo's: 1.1.0. Communicated with the author of the app, who tells me that under Windows there is no blanking at all where text is displayed (which makes sense when displaying a map, you dont want to hide the map wahrever there is a text). However, it still lets me continue and then open Steam where it downloads for the first time. When the update is done downloading and it attempts to install, a error message flashes very quickly but then goes away. Then the whole process repeats (minus the downloading part). I've seen bugs submitted similar to this but for older versions of wine (such as 1.4.1) so I thought I'd re-submit it for this version. When freehand9-trial.exe is installed in a clean prefix, it appears to install successfully despite a lot of FIXMEs. The when launching the program (pressing the "Try" button on the opening window, the windows disappears the Freehand is not launched. The only console messages occur before pressing the "Try" button and are : wine: Unhandled stack overflow at address 0xb74439fa (thread 000d), starting debugger... err:seh:setup_exception_record stack overflow 1184 bytes in thread 000d eip 7bc61404 esp 00240e90 stack 0x240000-0x241000-0x340000 Curiously, these messages also appear when launching any other program (e.g. winecfg) from this prefix, but not from a clean one.
