I was trying to do regression testing, but I failed. When I was testing on prebuild .deb packages from archives, it appears, that the problem raised between wine-1.1.28 (working) and wine-1.1.29 (not working). Other custom context-based cursors, however, will display when no buttons are held down (e.g. the hand icon when the mouse is over the footlocker, or the arrow when hovering over doors).
