Install Services Framework Redist files Download instMSTSF.exe (Services Framework Redist files) from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?DisplayLang=en&id=11759 extract instMSTSF.exe, install mstsf10.exe with Windows Version = Win2k override native msctf.dll, avoid Bug 28125 2. install a input method, for example, MSPY2010.exe (Chinese input method from Microsoft) : Download MSPY2010.exe from http://www.microsoft.com/china/pinyin/ and install. winetricks vcrun2008, avoid Bug 28205 override newer version of native msutb.dll, avoid Bug 28178 3. start notepad in a terminal, start ctfmon.exe in another terminal $ wine notepad $ wine ctfmon.exe 4.try to change the input method in the Language Bar, however, the windows input method will not be activated as expect. For example on my system with a new profile winecfg shows me C: as ../drive_c and Z: as /. Start the Input Method Language Bar: $ wine ctfmon.exe click on the button "CH", then there will be a drop down menu. However, the menu is covered by a wrong shadow, one can hardly change the option in the menu. The application first stops the service, then checks if it is stopped, and if it is, tries to start it. Starting the service quite often throws an exception, and stack trace reported by the application points to wbemprox. >From the initial investigation it seems to me that calling StartService temporarily invalidates all existing instances of the service object. Here one thread tries to get SystemName property from the object while another thread tries to restart the service, and getting property throws an exception. Export function in ArtRage 3 Studio Pro Demo version (as well as in full version) doesn't work. When trying to export a painting as an image, an error occurs which states: "Generic Failure. Not enough memory to perform action." However, it is not lack of RAM that is the cause of problem (at the time of testing I had over 2GB free RAM). Also, in ArtRage 2.5 export function works as expected on the same machine. Here is the link: http://www.elicenser.net/en/ eLicenser Control Center need dotnet20 to start up fine, i installed it with winetricks. Generally there are two ways to store your licenses. You are able to choose to store them on the USB-Dongle or on the Soft-eLicenser. For the Soft-eLicenser a file named "SeLicenser.sel" on the hard disk is created and is used as a container to store licenses instead of using the USB device. This container file has a serialnumber just like a normal USB-eLicenser (2 x 10 digits). This file the SeLicenser.sel is created during the installation of the eLicenser Control Center and should be showed up on the control center. But it seems that in wine there is no Soft-eLicenser installed during the installation. If i do a quick search on the PREFIX for SeLicenser.sel it doesnt show up. I would try to copy and paste my SeLicenser.sel from windows to my winepath but im not sure where to put it. Normally its stored in C:\ProgramData\eLicenser\SeLicenser.sel (which is hidden by default in windows) Can someone try to install the control center to see if the software SeLicenser.sel installation failes also on another system?
