This is supposed to pop up a screen showing whether various components of your system meet minimum spec for the game. It crashes on wine after calling KERNEL32.SetThreadPriorityBoost. That function always returns FALSE on wine. It improperly parses Unicode characters. E.g., try to import this .reg file: REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Fonts\Replacements] "ＭＳゴシック"="TakaoGothic" "ＭＳ明朝"="TakaoMincho" In registry, there will be multiple unreadable characters instead of kanji, which suggests that regedit expects ASCII while parsing. 2.
