Normaly on starting up the game, an automatic updater is startet, which is well known for freezing under wine. But it is possible to start Archlord without the updater (patch it by hand), by running "wine alefclient.exe". But it crashes on startup. last console message: err:dbghelp:SymCleanup this process has not had SymInitialize() called for it I provide crashreports as attachements. Looking at the backtrace, and with a little help from ollydbg, it seems to fail when loading the ddraw function DD_Surface_BltFast. The demo is named shogdem.zip and can be downloaded very fast from fileplanet.
