The result is the known buggy menu that only animates on mousebove in case of Diablo 1, but I can play the game with it which is a start. The flip buffer shouldn't be black though but start with the base image, however I have no idea how this could be achieved in the code as I'm not familiar with the codebase. The winehq.org website has always worked up until this week when it was changed. When JavaScript is disabled (which I have set as a default), the Bugzilla and Forums buttons are no longer accessible due to the search bar overlapping them. Even without JavaScript, it shouldn't be too hard to better position the search box (which is less valuable than the Bugzilla and Forums links it is hiding). If you leave this step out, apt will complain when installing wine, that wine1.7 depends on wine1.7-i386 but thats uninstallable... This page is about resolving an another problem, but the first step mentions this: http://askubuntu.com/questions/697648/how-to-fix-installation-wine-on-ubunt… I believe the installation instructions should be clear on this step, as wine do depend on this setting, so it should be mentioned both on the gui and the cli part. This can continue to happen in both the level selector and the start of playing levels, and seems to happen the most in the hardware-accelerated version of Populous. If it occurs when playing a level, escaping to the in-game menu and then resuming gameplay will definitely stop it, but only for the duration of that level.
