A recent Steam update has brought this issue to my attention. It would appear that Valve have either added functionality to steam that requires WSALookupServiceBegin to function correctly, or, have made Steam exit when WSALookupServiceBegin returns an error. Having researched this, I have found other issues and forum posts around the internet, some related to steam and dating back quite some time (2013 was the earliest post I saw about this and steam). Non of these appeared to cite failure due to this issue. The installation isn't fully complete AFAICT. There is nothing in the console at all, but a +file trace shows the same 55 lines repeated continuously (see log). I have not error message in the console so i don't know where come from the problem. Thanks, Maxime PS : I create a bug report on Wine-Staging but i don't know of the Wine Vanilla is affected. Since some Fedora updates I have the problem that the Wiso Sparbuch main Desktop shows a lot of text as garbage (some text looks as wiso program code in some language unknown to me, or other lext looks like mutilated html code or similar). This effect appears both with the vanilla wine version wine-1.7.45 and the fedora version wine-1.7.45-1.fc22.x86_64. I will hand in later a screen photo. Navigate to "desktop integration" tab. Choose item "Message box text". Font button will activated. Press it. Choose Tahoma. It can be "western" or "Cyrillic" depends on prehistory but script chooser is not active. Tested on different wine version and with different OS settings.
